barefoot-on-the-grassTodays Tip is helpful for those suffering with Parkinsons Disease, Alzheimers, Senile Dementia or recovering from a Stroke the following may prove helpful.
Walking particularly on grass with bare feet, whilst holding arms over the head can be very helpful – this gives energy from the earth through the souls of the feet directly up to the head (really beneficial for Stroke victims to do as quickly as possible after the Stroke)

Eat fewer carbohydrates, particularly wheat, corn and sugar. Eat more Omega 3 rich foods, such as oily fish or take fish oil supplements (must be taken with other food) Drink ginger tea or include ginger in foods, cinnamon and garlic are both helpful.
The herb Ginkgo Biloba can also be helpful, take as a tincture, 30 drops in warm water 3 x per day, 6 days per week.
For Parkinsons particularly, nicotine patches or other nicotine products such as gum, etc, have proved helpful for some sufferers, due to the synaptic connections in the brain.

MINOLTA DIGITAL CAMERAVaricose Ulcers are a fairly common condition, a result of poor circulation which occur mainly in the legs. Leg ulcers appear as open craters, the surrounding skin may be red, swollen, tender and can also be quite painful. Ulcers can become infected with fluid or pus oozing from the crater and can sometimes also bleed. They are often slow to heal – an acute phase is termed where they heal in around 12 weeks, a longer healing period than that and they are considered to be a chronic condition.
As it is the condition of the circulatory system in general and the peripheral veins in the legs in particular which give rise to varicose ulcers, a holistic approach is a must. It is not enough to simply treat the ulcers using pressure bandages, topical antibiotics and surgery. Diet, exercise and methods to support venous return – blood returning from the lower extremities to the heart.

Healing Tips for Varicose Ulcers

Diet – Seek advice from a Nutritionist or a Naturopath. Following an acid/alkaline balanced diet is also highly beneficial (detailed diet in Every Woman’s Guide to Vital Breast Health) Correct breathing is particularly helpful as movement of the diaphragm in particular supports the liver, the largest venous organ. (see Diaphragmatic Breathing in Video Section) Hydrotherapy, hot and cold foot baths to encourage new blood to circulate to the leg area and at the same time supporting the return of blood from the lower extremities. (see Gout Health Tip for Hydrotherapy Instructions) Topical treatment for ulcers is to smear witch hazel gel around the ulcer which acts as an astringent and tones the skin around the crater. In the crater itself apply either Calendula (Marigold) Cream or Ointment. It can also be applied as a solution using tincture or fluid extract in warm water at a suggested dilution of 50 drops Calendula to 2 tablespoons of water. Manuka honey will also help with infections as an alternative to Calendula.

From experience using these methods usually speeds healing considerably, the best supportive exercise is walking. Walking through the sea, if within reach of you, is even more beneficial. Avoid sitting for long periods, particularly with crossed legs.

Explore the significant benefits such as increased oxygen levels which are supportive for all areas of the body, particularly the major organs, blood circulation and lymphatic circulation. This method is of great benefit to women with breast issues. Cancer cells hate oxygen and cannot survive in a body that is flooded with oxygen.

ice-ice-babyThe tip this week is for resolving Fibrous issues, Uterine Fibroids, Scar Tissue including post-operative Adhesions, Polycystic Ovaries and Breast Cysts.
Three case studies.

The first was a woman who I was treating for her Allergies, whilst she was lying on the couch I noticed she had her legs drawn up and assumed she was suffering back pain. But I was mistaken her discomfort was in fact due to post – operative adhesions resulting from an earlier Hysterectomy, which now required further surgery to remove the scar tissue.

I recommended her to follow this simple procedure which she undertook for several weeks. When she attended an appointment with her surgeon she was given the all clear, no further treatment required.

The second was a woman with a Uterine Fibroid the size of a grapefruit, following this simple plan she resolved the problem in less than 10 weeks.

The third was a woman with multiple Breast Cysts who again resolved the issue this time in less than 3 weeks using this simple technique.

Requirements – A small bowl to hold 4 ice cubes and a towel.

Method – Run the ice slightly under the tap to remove stickiness, once wet, rub the ice over the area of concern, using each of the 4 ice cubes in turn as one melts away start on the next until all 4 have been used. It is important to move the ice over the skin fairly briskly as the idea is to invigorate the area rather than to freeze it. The towel is to catch the drips as you sit watching the TV.

goutDespite the possibility of several different crystals being involved, the most likely cause for gout is uric acid crystals deposited in a joint, most commonly the great toe joint. Whatever the cause, the following procedure should prove helpful, without the need for medication.

Dietary Recommendations – Eat a generous amount of parsley, it does not need necessarily to be added to meals, just grab a handful and eat raw when it suits. It is the kidneys favourite food!

Also, dissolve a teaspoon of marmite in a mug of hot water and drink at least one each day as this supports the electrolyte balance.

Separate starch and protein in the main meal of the day by 4 hours. Also go low on fruits as they tend to be acid forming.

2 bowls with enough water to cover the foot to the ankle.
Fill one with water as hot as bearable but not so hot as to scald.
The second bowl should be filled with water as cold as possible, including ice cubes.

Method – You must always start with the foot in the hot water and finish in the cold. Place the foot in the hot bath for 10 seconds, then immediately into the cold for 5 seconds, repeat this procedure at least 10 times, finishing in cold. For maximum benefit repeat as often as possible at least twice a day, the problem should then resolve in a few days or so.
